Took the antibiotic the dentist gave me and even though I warned them about my penicillin allergy they gave me something too close to it and now I've got a nice case of hives. Dang itchy things make me nuts. I've quit the antibiotics at least so it shouldn't get worse. At the least my eyes haven't turned blood red like they did the last time I had an allergic reaction to penicillin. lol I scared everyone that saw me then even the dogs. *scratch scratch*

I'm finally off the strong pain meds and back to just a little advil when necessary. Thank Goodness since feeling loopy is not fun to me.
I think I can finally see the light out of this depression and I'll be happy to start feeling like talking with people again.
So look out ya'll, I'll be chewing your ears off soon.

Got called by my dentist office they had a cancellation if I could get there right away- I did.
Good news but the tooth broke apart during the extraction and ended up being surgically removed. Bad news. Took 8 shots to finally stop hurting too much to finish it. Now I'm on antibiotics and very strong pain pills that will knock me out- according to my dentist. lol So I'm thinking it's night- night for me, ya'll have fun.

You know what happens when your dentist's secetrary leaves suddenly for a kidney transplant? Your needs get all screwed up! I made my apt to have a bad very painful tooth pulled and had to wait just over a week to get in but I stuck it out and then go in today at noon. 1 hour later the x-rays are done and he's explaining I can either have a root canal and crown put on it or pull it. All he had to do was look at the others I've pulled and there shouldn't have been any question on that score but then I find out that the temporary secretary didn't make my apt for an extraction instead just an exam to see what needed done. I was so pissed but he was fully booked and couldn't do it today. So now I get to wait until June 13th a friday to have it pulled. In the meantime he gives me 12 darvocet for pain. I swear if it wasn't for having to redo the x-rays (which I hate) I'd just go elsewhere and get it yanked but I trust so few dentists in this town. Dang it!

Got up early this morning and drove my sister and the 2 kids to Lexington my 11year old neice had to see the heart doctor for a bi yearly check since she was born with a heart problem. Everything was still great no restrictions on her activities at all (great since she wants to join band) But we left at 7:30 am to get to her downtown apt in the UK Childrens Clinic Cardiac Unit and it rained most of the way so I couldn't make much speed getting there. Finally we're there and find a parking place (I don't even want to describe that ordeal) but we get inside everyone runs for the bathroom then we go to sign in. My sister is talking to the lady at the desk and gets this pissed look on her face and come to find out they office has been moved now is and way on the other side of town. Of course we're there at the time of our apt so no way to get to the other place on time. The lady calls over and lets them know and they all apologize for it being moved without letting us know. Hell we've only been going to the same place for 11years why bother telling us they moved. Finally I get directions to the other place written front and back on a small square post it note. Great for reading in city traffic while it rains around the college. Think young folks everywhere on bikes and foot dashing about and not even looking at the lights or traffic. Yipee!
We finally get there and the "very generous" parking for the place is a large parking lot beside the place so I let everyone out at the front door and go to park after 4 circles of the rows of cars I finally find a place and slide the vehicle into it. Now of course the rain has decided to pour again so I zip my eyeglasses in my purse and start for the door. Now I'm nigh blind without out them but since my clothes are going to be soaked I won't be able to dry them off when I do get inside. So I'm looking down making my way toward where I know the door is and there are still cars circling the lot. I thought about needing to see them but said screw it, I'm a big woman in a bright red shirt if they can't see me walking here they deserve to get their car broke.
The doctor stuff took till near noon then we grabbed lunch at a nearby restaurant and then went shopping.
Finally got home just after 5pm and I'm tired, chilled and will head for bed early tonight for sure.

I took the southern or yankee test like my friends and got 100% Southern on both of them. No General Lee isn't my grandpaw but I did get to see the car once at a county fair.
Trick was some of them questions didn't really have an answer that I thought fit so I had to settle for my second best guess. lol

I'm reading a lot of journals talking about artwork being copywritten or copywrite free. I understand that photobucket is a open site and I get much of my stuff from it. I also upload my own stuff onto it so I'm taking the same chances everyone else is there.
The thing of it is I am not talented in making artwork and my photography skills are slim to none. For me to make my profile look like I want it to using other artwork is necessary. I have checked into a few of the stock or free artwork sites and to be honest they are very small and mainlined toward comercial uses. If you are wanting something a little dark or gothic or even more narrow then they have almost nothing you can use.
If I happen to get something off the site that the owner doesn't want used they need only tell me so and I'll happily remove it but to be honest it's their job to control their creations. I am like most others here on VR, I think in that I do not have the talent nor do I know anyone talented enough to create beautiful artwork for me to use. I admire the ones who can and do but am left to muddle along myself.
So my profile won't be copywrite free but will use the artwork I find that speaks to me and my mood. I think I am paying a compliment to the artist in this manner. If they feel differently I will remove it immediately. Until then I will enjoy their beautiful work.

Make them research the ingredients each time. So often more than one drug is in something now days. I'm allergic to actifed, tons of medicines seem to have that in it, from allergy pills to cough meds. Also you can ask the pharmacist to look into if your doctor really doesn't seem to want to. I got tired of paying for meds then not being able to use them. I'm almost insistent that someone look into it before I purchase it. Plus allergic reactions can become more severe the more your body is introduced to the drug.

Excellent advise SF. I've had to learn to do the same thing due to an allergic reaction to Acetominophin. It's amazing how many meds carry that as a base.
The pharmacist is the one, more often than not, who usually gives me the information I need before he even fills the prescription.
I hope you find a med that suits you NG...

Oooops! Hives are a nightmare, you need a good dose of, "Hive Away!" available from any good chemist shop near you :)

It is my theory that all dentists are out to kill you. Even the ones that you give money to, they turn on their victims and caste demonic spells of hives, swollenness, and tooth pains unimaginable- just because they can.
